[] Read “Problem-Solving” and complete 3 Character Dilemmas
[] Begin your Project Vocabulary Notebook
[] Read Chapter 2 of McDougal Little World History and complete all section assessments
[] Log onto the World History webpage and explore more information about ancient civilizations
[] Write a paragraph about your favorite example of smart problem-solving in the ancient world
[] Choose an ancient civilization to be the theme of your park
[] With your group, come up with ideas for rides and attractions that use your theme
[] Understand physical forces by studying the links on the blog
[] Test yourself on your knowledge of forces by following the link
[] Calculate how high, tight and fast your rides will be to be safe- use the simulators online to test the safety
[] Understand graphs of theme park attendance and estimate your daily attendance
[] Once you know your daily attendance, challenge your group to figure out how long people will have to wait in lines, and decide whether you need to change plans because of this
[] Create a visual plan for your park using Google SketchUp
[] Write a patent/trademark/copyright packet with a complete explanation of your park idea
[] Create a marketing poster to bring customers to your theme park
[] Edit and publish all parts of your project
